Tremayne K. Mitchell

Tremayne K. Mitchell is a lifelong resident of East Point, Georgia, and a dedicated public servant and public health professional committed to strengthening communities and improving quality of life. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry and a Master of Public Health, and he brings professional experience as an epidemiologist with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

As a fourth-generation Mitchell to serve in public office, Mitchell developed a commitment to civic engagement and community service at an early age. His service has included the East Point Youth Council, East Point Police Auxiliary Board, East Point Building Authority, and volunteer initiatives supporting local youth and families. He also supports Shirley's Haven's annual coat giveaway and has been a principal contributor to the annual Jingle Jams toy giveaway.


Mitchell is passionate about youth development, senior services, public health, economic opportunity, and community revitalization. He believes sustainable community development requires collaboration among residents, nonprofits, businesses, and government, combined with data-driven strategies and measurable outcomes.


Through his public service and professional expertise, Mitchell is committed to building stronger, healthier, and more equitable communities by connecting people with resources, creating opportunities, and developing practical solutions to community needs.
